TJXLABS (“we”, “our”, or “us”) operates the ShiftTrak mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our App.

Our Commitment: ShiftTrak is designed with privacy as a core principle. Your personal work data stays on your device and is never uploaded to our servers.

Information We Collect

1. Information You Provide

When you use ShiftTrak, you may enter:

Work shift details (dates, times, locations)
Earnings information (wage rates, pay amounts)
Employment details (job titles, employer names - optional)
Tags and notes (custom labels you create)
Photos (receipts, rosters, or other images you attach to shifts)

Important: All this data stays on your device. We never see it or have access to it.

2. Automatically Collected Information

Anonymous Usage Analytics - We use Google Analytics (Firebase Analytics) to understand how users interact with ShiftTrak:

Screens viewed (e.g., Dashboard, Analytics, Settings)
Features used (e.g., shift creation, exports, PRO features)
App performance (load times, crashes)
Device type and country (for optimization)
Session duration and frequency

What Analytics Does NOT Collect:

❌ Your shift data (wages, hours, employer details)

Crash and Diagnostic Data - Anonymous error reports sent via Firebase Crashlytics to help us fix bugs and improve app stability:

Device model, Android version (only collected during crashes)

How We Store Your Information

Local Storage

All your personal data is stored locally on your device using SQLite database
Your shift data, earnings, photos, and settings never leave your device
We do not have access to your personal information
We do not store your data on any cloud servers
We do not have servers or databases that collect user data

Third-Party Services

We use the following Google Firebase services:

Firebase Analytics:

Collects anonymous usage data (screens viewed, features used)
Uses anonymous device IDs (not linked to your identity)
IP addresses are automatically anonymized
Helps us understand which features are popular and improve the app

What We DON’T Do

Google (Firebase):

Receives anonymous usage analytics (screens viewed, features used)

Your Rights and Choices

You have complete control over your data:

Access and Export

View all your data within the app
Export your data as PDF or CSV files (PRO feature)
Your data remains on your device

Data Deletion

Delete individual shifts from the shift details screen
Clear all app data by uninstalling the app or using Android Settings > Apps > ShiftTrak > Clear Data
Once deleted, data cannot be recovered (we don’t have backups - it’s only on your device)

Analytics

Analytics are anonymous and cannot be linked to you personally
You cannot opt-out while using the app, as analytics help us improve ShiftTrak for everyone
Analytics data contains no personal information

Crash Reporting

Crash reporting is enabled by default to help improve the app
You cannot opt-out while using the app, but crash reports contain no personal data
Helps us fix bugs that affect all users

International Data Transfers

Analytics Data: Anonymous usage data is processed by Google (Firebase) and may be stored on Google’s global infrastructure (primarily US data centers). This data is anonymous and cannot be linked to you personally.

Your Personal Data: Never leaves your device, so it is never transferred anywhere.

Data Retention

Your Personal Data:

Stored on your device indefinitely until you delete it
We never receive or store your personal data

Anonymous Analytics:

Google Analytics retains anonymous usage data for 14 months by default
After 14 months, old data is automatically deleted

Crash Reports:

Firebase Crashlytics retains crash data for 90 days
After 90 days, crash data is automatically deleted

Children’s Privacy

ShiftTrak is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us.

Note: Even if a child uses the app, all data stays on their device and we cannot access it.

Data Security

All data is stored securely on your device using SQLite database
We implement industry-standard security practices in our code
Your device’s built-in security (lock screen, encryption) protects your data
Anonymous analytics data is transmitted over secure HTTPS connections
We do not transmit your personal data (shift details, wages) over the internet

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted:

On this page with an updated “Last Updated” date

Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy. Significant changes will be highlighted in app updates.
